Dr. Douglas F. Bahr, MD

I normally see Dr. Timothy Kosmatka who is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. I was just seen at what I could only think was a doctor who was his turn to work this I had to work this Saturday. I fell two weeks ago and had severe bruising and pain in my knees, which I already have issues with. Last week I saw Stephanie Garza NP I had already had the x-ray done at the ER and she wanted to wait one week for me to come back so they can order an MRI after the swelling went down. Once I saw this doctor I asked him about ordering an MRI and his response was very dry. Well are you gonna get surgery? I answered if it’s bad enough then yes but how are we gonna know without getting one? He just said to wait until I see either Trinity Williams.PA which I already had an appointment coming up next week or I can wait for Dr. Kosmatka when I have my next appointment in July. I have no idea what I even went in for today! Horrible, horrible horrible! I have never had any issues with any of the… staff from health Texas. From the people that answer the phones front desk, to all the assistants there!! Always friendly. I’m surprised with all the good doctors there how he would even be someone that works as part of this practice! Unfortunately I couldn’t give anything lower than one star.

Not going back. No bedside manner

I was told by nurse I could not talk about more than 2 issues per visit. I am not going back. It's pretty obvious he is just hanging on to retire. Very disappointed.

The lady who answers the phone is the most awful human being. I have never dealt with such a rude person in my life. Excuses Excuses Excuses. I will be changing Physicians. YOU ARE THE FACE OF THE CLINIC!!!! Poor Dr. Bahr. I hope he realizes his staff (the ones who are remaining) are running his practice straight in to the dirt. I will find a place where they actually care about their patients and can handle a courtesy call.

WIFE & I HAVE RELIED ON DR BAHR TO PROVIDE ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS & TREATMENT FOR MULTIPLE CONDITIONS OVER THE YEARS. NURSE IS ABOVE EXCELLENT. HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS AND SPENDS THE NECESSARY TIME FOR A DIAGNOSIS. NEVER FEEL HURRIED.

Dr. Bahr treated me like I was some punk kid looking for drugs when I came in for my on going back pain. He didn't follow up to see if it was cured or recommend me to a specialist. He just made me feel like I was wasting his time coming in there. I went to another doctor who ordered an MRI and discovered I had torn a disc in my lower back that needed surgery. The next time I visited him to give it another chance he treated me the exact same way and recommended that I look up someone on my own to find a specialist because he couldn't recommend anyone. He didn't prescribe me anything for my back pain or did he give me anything for my ADD he just told me to find a specialist on my insurance plan and make an appointment on my own. He didn't offer to transfer my file or anything. He just made me feel like I wasn't worth helping. I went on to see another doctor who treated me and actually cared. I won't be seeing Dr. Bahr again.

I miss the personalization of a Dr's office & have rediscovered that with Dr Bahr's office - glad I found them.
