Very knowledgeable and thoughtful physician

I have had a great experience. He's very caring and extremely accurate

I was so disappointed in my care. He didn't read my records and wasn't prepared for my visit. I also had problems with communication with the office. They were unable to get my medication correct and wasn't communicating with the pharmacy. I had to go to another facility to get medication that I had to have to survive. They also didn't communicate well with my other doctors on my team. They also never returned msg. or phone calls to them.

IMO, Dr. Ball is highly overrated because of his association with Johns Hopkins. Even though he knew my appointment was for a second opinion, he had not reviewed the wealth of workers that have been sent to him two to three months ahead of the appointment so that he could have and inform conversation with me about a serious condition. I was there for a second opinion about a potential biopsy. My general practitioner provided much more of a thorough review than he did as a supposedly "top endocrinologist" for which I had waited 3 months for an appointment. To add insult to injury, I had to fight with Johns Hopkins for errors they entered into my medical record. I think they may have become accustomed to dealing with a certain type of patient who doesn't actually read their record and who they're used to bullying into leaving inaccurate information which can end up causing injury down the road. More patients need to carefully review what's entered into their electronic health records and… demand corrections when needed.

My experiences with Dr. Ball were absolutely fantastic. After many years of symptoms and many doctors, Dr. Ball was able to piece together the puzzle and provide the cause and an effective treatment plan. He has continued to follow my care and search for any underlying conditions. He is brilliant!
