Dr.Blackman removed my gallbladder on Dec.of 2017...surgery was a success. However, Dr. Blackman doesn't give you an opportunity to ask questions.He tends to cut you off mid-sentence! He rushes in and rushes out (no how are you, no handshake, no good morning)"NOTHING" His bedside manners are non- existent! (ex:) I recently saw him to discuss having surgery to repair a ventral hernia, He immediately implied upon entering the room, that the hernia didnt come from "HIS" inscisions! First of all...I never implied that it did! When i asked him could it be done without surgical mesh...he stated "you must have been watching those commercials"!??No I just do my research...Im my OWN best advocate when it comes down to my well being!??Why would a Dr. try to challenge a patients preferences anyway....if it can be done "WITHOUT" a foreign man-made object...why can't I have it done that way! Needless to say...I thought about how he treated me yesterday...and I will pass on "EVER" dealing with this… doctor again...Guess I will have to pay another co-pay to find a more compassionate, patient friendly surgeon in Greensboro, NC. Can anyone recommend one???I guess im used to the Ole' school traditional Doctors...Who REALLY CARED ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS! Times have surely changed people!

I have breast cancer, and I was referred to Dr. Blackman. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and courteous. I plan to have him to perform the operation on my breast.

Dr. Blackman was the doctor on call in the E.R. the day I came in. He was thorough, kind, courteous, and very professional. He explained everything that was going on, and what he had to do. I found him to be a great doctor, both professionally and personally. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a surgeon.

Dr Blackman was very thorough in explaining my condition, and what surgery would entail. He was very kind, and easy to talk to. He spent as much time necessary to answer ALL my questions and concerns.
