Dr. Douglas Robert Bowman

He was listed as accepting Buckeye (OH medicaid) but you get a different story when you get there. The staff was quite friendly, although perhaps overstaffed at the counter(probably explains some overpricing on procedures). His personality can come off as arrogant, and he said that he was not accepting any NEW patients with medicaid. Perhaps if he spent less time golfing, he could charge patients less and accept their insurance. He was definitely the low point of the office, and a good reminder of what is wrong with healthcare in this country. Also, within a few days after the appointment, I started getting robocalls offering "the strongest dental insurance available".......

I always have had good honest treatment. Very respectful, very helpful with insurance issues as well.

I've found his office to be staffed by very gentle and caring people. I have recommended him to several people. I have not had a problem with pain management.

According to this site dr. bowman accepts ohio medicaid. After scheduling an appointment. I found out that Dr. bowman does not accept medicaid!! Even when it is only being used as a secondary insurance... His nurses are so nice, they made me feel completely comfortable. Dr. bowman on the other hand was a different story. I had not been able to see a dentist in about 8 years. I didn't have dental insurance and i am a single mother. My child came first and I didn't have the money to see one. He makes you feel as if you are being degraded! Told me he wasn't there to judge me, yet there i was almost thirty years old being told that I could have found a way to make it happen. Well, how i feel about that is that not all of us had the luxury to go to college and get a great job. Most of us struggle to make our ends meet and live pay check to pay check. So if he has a problem with it he can work as hard as i do and try to pay my bills. Needless to say I left his office. Came… home and called around to try to find a new dentist!
