Dr. Douglas P. Dietzel, DO

I have had Dr Dietzel for my care of both shoulders and a knee. This doctor has genuine concern for his patients. Always has a smile and is very thorough during an office visit. I have referred 3 family members all are happy with their outcome. Highly recommend doctor Dietzel for your joint care.

Is very down to earth with a great bedside manor. Dr. Dietzel has always taken the time to explain the problems, solutions, both surgically and what can help if you are not quite ready for surgery. I would recommend him without hesitation to any of my family and friends.

Awful. His lack of competence has led me to a partial knee replacement at 25.

Dr. Dietzel permanently injured my dad. The surgery that he performed should have been routine but it had to be reversed. Even after the reversal the damage that Dr. Dietzel inflicted will last the rest of my dad's life. I want to emphasize this was not a simple mistake he made, but several astounding displays of incompetence--reckless damage to nerves and attaching ligaments to the wrong bone. Do not let anyone you love visit this Dr.

Dr. Dietzel created a catastrophe of my knee resulting in a replacement at 18.

Dr. Dietzel has operated on my shoulder twice, the first for a torn labrum, minor tear to my bicep and some other small tears. Before the surgery I was unable to any longer pick a pipe wrench up past my hip and do my work as I wanted to. After my surgery and rehab with Heidi at McLaren Rebound Rehab things were 90 % better. My second surgey was about 2 years later. While lifting an upper cabinet to hang I felt a very sharp, burning pain in my bicep area. A few weeks later I was back n the hospital having Dr. Dietzel repair another area of my bicep that had torn much more severly. It has been several years now and I am careful of what I lift but have not had any further problems. I'm not sure what the other gentlemens problem was with Dr. Dietzels bedside manor as I have nothing but high praise, he explained everything he was going to be doing, what to expect after the surgery, what my options were if I chose not to have the surgery - he was even the one who called e to let me know… what my MRI test results were, how many other physicians do that.

Dr Dietzel performed 4 surgeries on my knees and I have had problems related to every one of them. Another doctor I saw called his work akin to Frankenstien. Super aggressive with surgery. See someone else!

Dietzel is an inconsistent surgeon, is not personable, and cares little for the outcomes of his surgeries.
