Dr. Douglas F Emery, MD

I had 2 appointments with other doctors in this practice prior to seeing Dr. Emery. Both kept me waiting over an hour. One appointment I left b/c it was so long the other doctor brought no additional value. When Dr. Emery examined my child and heard about her history he educated me on my options. He was flexible when I said I needed time to discuss them with my husband. When we elected to have ear tubes put in, he walked us through the process and kept us informed each step of the way. His expertise is on point.

Had an appointment 4 weeks out. Had a death in family had to reschedule, the receptionist said I had to keep calling back to see if there were any cancellations. I asked for a set new appointment and she continued to say for me to keep calling for a cancellation. I guess my time does not mean anything. I was referred to this practice by my primary doctor after ending up in a hospital with dizziness. Now I am without an appointment looking for another ENT doctor.

Got an appt so quickly so I took it. Was having a lot of ear pain in one ear.. Dr. Emery told me I had hearing loss and sent me on my way. Still in so much pain finally got a second opinion and the pain cleared up within days from a few nasal sprays. Dr. Emery was in such a rush, was YELLING at his staff the entire time I was there, staff was rolling their eyes at him (for good reason, yet so unprofessional), he kept asking his staff how many patients he had already seen that day, and rushed in and out of my visit.

I had to have some lymph nodes removed from my face and Dr. Emery did an outstanding job putting everything back together. I was cut open from above my ear to well below the jaw line and unless I tell you about it you wouldn't even notice the scar. A+

I was able to get an appointment fast so I went. Turns out, it is probabl;y because he's not good. He is in such a rush and doesn't want to answer questions - like he's so good and you're dumb. Don't bother.

I saw Dr Emery for the first time last week. He seemed knowledgeable, explained my diagnosis and the medications he was prescribing me, and was pleasant. I am feeling much better already. I will go back if I have another ENT problem.

Dr. Emery noticed and diagnosed nodules on my thyroid during an examination. As I was not from the area, I followed up with my local primary care doctor who sent me to a specialists. For years I had been misdiagnosed or not diagnosed for a serious thyroid condition which is now managed and changed my quality of life dramatically. Well credentialed and professional. I would highly recommend this Specialists.

He's often triple booked and got one hand on the door to leave. He can be dismissive of what YOU have to say about YOUR issue.

Horrible 3 .visits now says I need surgery for debris . In my ear Never no way .No patience .Scraped my ear out with suction tube so painful .Had to ask for ear drops.Cold personality.I felt like a piece of meat .Long wait.Then he spends 5 minutes .I don't trust his judgement.I have to go d another doctor now .I just lost my father too.I just don't know ow putting g me under general anesthesia for my ear to get debris out seem dangerous felt like I had to be my own doctor.I asked about a prescription and he rudely said it will be on the box in plain English.Rude arrogant.Left with my ears bleeding everytime.

This doctor communicates in a very condescending manner. He has no desire to hear about your complaints,concerns or history. He ridiculed my desire to wear a face mask for my protection. And chastised me about my healthcare practices and management thereof. When I told him that I was feeling berated he yelled "you think your going to walk in here and expect me to prescribe pain killers? This visit is over!" I was like Whaaaaaat! Plus I'm homeopathic and hate the meds Dr.s just hand out... But this doctor is a real AZO
