My wife and I, had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Douglas Ewing, in Aug. 2023...We were very impressed with his professionalism and bedside manner...He expressed compassion and empathy to her situation, and a real willingness to want to help; even though she was a complex case, due to her prior surgery and medical conditions...He listened to, and thoroughly addressed, all of our questions and concerns...He was confident in his ability to be able to perform the surgery she needed safely; when other surgeons were hesitant...He drew upon his experience and knowledge, as well as his colleagues; and presented us with a few options to choose from...An action plan was formulated; and carried out without any complications...He is an amazing, extraordinary, knowledgeable, caring, patient and kind; surgeon and person...We will definitely recommend him to everyone we know! Dr. Ewing performed my Duodenal Switch (SIPS) surgery on May 17th. He had been highly recommended by one of his previous patients. My first impression of Dr. Ewing was that he was incredibly intelligent. He inspired me a lot of confidence that I was putting my life in the hands of a very skillful surgeon. The quality I mostly appreciate is his honesty. From my very first visit, Dr. Ewing always took the time to explain the entire process; on the day of the surgery, Dr. Ewing explained in great detail every aspect of the surgery, as well as his expectations of me post surgery. I have found that Dr Ewing is a gentle, caring man who cares and listens to his patients. That alone would be terrific, but his entire practice is so dedicated to the entire process of weight loss that it puts him over the top. Doctor Ewing is AMAZING! I can't say enough wonderful things about him.

Dr. Ewing is a very knowledgeable surgeon and he really cares about your out come. I can honestly say that this man saved my life I would recommend him to my family and friends. As I have actually recommended him to my father and he was wonderful once again. I would use him again if I ever needed to have further surgery.
