Will not go even slightly out of his way to help someone in need. Seek help elsewhere.

My mother was in the hospital last year for coronavirus. Dr. Folzenlogen was not compassionate, he is very arrogant I feel like he gave up on my mother due to her age. And when talking to me and My sister he said things like I have been doing this for 30 years. I felt like that was uncalled for no doctor should voluntarily tell someone how long they have been a doctor. I feel like Beaufort memorial hospital needs to get rid of him and also feels like he doesn't needs to be practicing medicine anymore. Beaufort memorial hospital needs to seriously to look into investigating this Doctor.

I had heard negative things about this doctor, but he was near me and could get me in. He came across as hurried, arrogant and unwilling to listen. His prescription did nothing to help me. I will not be going back.

Dr. Folzenlogen was my primary care doctor at one time. I was in my early 40s and expressed concern over my heart. He ordered a stress test. I was thin and appeared in great shape. When I seemed to not be able to perform on the stress test as long as he felt someone in my shape should... he quickly chastised me in front of the technician and told me that there was nothing wrong with my heart and I was wasting his time and mine. I felt humiliated. Long story short. A few years later, after tiring of the mediocre Adena health system, I went to the Cleveland Clinic where the doctors there listened to my concerns, yes, I have a very serious heart condition. I have a left ventricular outflow obstruction , leaky aortic valve and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Thank goodness the physicians at the Cleveland Clinic did not feel I was wasting their time They ordered the proper tests and I am alive today due to their dedication to patients.
