Dr. Douglas Stewart Green, MD

He is an arrogant and pompous physician. He will not willingly confer with other doctors or consider treatment options. It's his way or no way with little regard to patient needs and does not communicate effectively with family. He does not like to be questioned. Retirement is long overdue. His office manager is discourteous and rude. Almost impossible to leave messages or speak to the doctor. Can't get past the office manager. There is no follow up.

I am shocked to read some of the recent reviews below since I have found Dr. Green and his office staff to be, simply stated, phenomenal. From the first call I placed to the office almost three years ago I have experienced only warmth, dedication, professionalism, and respect. I knew that this office is the right one for me as per that first call when I was not rushed, I was not made to feel a nuisance, and where I was made to feel like a person who truly mattered. Both Dr. Green and his office staff are committed to give the patient as much time as is needed on the phone, at the reception desk, with Dr. Green in an exam room, and afterwards. Dr. Green always assures that the patient clearly understands the course of treatment. Moreover, Dr. Green is always willing to think out-of-the-box, receptive of new ideas, with one ultimate goal, the patientâ??s well-being. The office staff, led by Paula, is equally committed and gifted. Paula is always there dedicated to deliver the… gold-standard in patient care. If she is able to answer a question on her own she does unfailingly and if she is not certain she puts the patient in contact with Dr. Green immediately. Furthermore, in the case of an emergency all obstacles are cleared to help the patient, in addition to Dr. Green and Paula always following up with the patient consistently well after the emergency and/or all concerns are addressed. This is an office where the patient is number one. They truly care!

Dr. Green and his staff are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. He has been my physician for several years now and has always provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit and for every issue. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaining a very efficient office, then Dr. Green is someone you should consider visiting

Although the doctor was o.k. the billing dept screwed me. When I found the error and asked billing to correct it (an easy fix for them) the woman who does the billing refused. Now instead of simply paying the co-pay, I have a collection agency after me. On a fixed income this is disastrous for me. I wouldn't reccommend him to treat a sick dog.

Dr. Green is one of the few physicians who is simultaneously competent and compassionate. Dr. Green is able to both consider and address the patient's concerns from a medical/scientific perspective while weighing in the patient's non-medical situation as well. His non-alarmist and calm demeanor is complementary as well. Nonetheless, that said, he is also professionally reactive when a situation requires more aggressive attention. Simply put, he is able to consider the patient as whole; not just a patient, but a person as well (a rarity these days). In addition, both his staff and call-service personnel are efficient and equally caring. Thank you!

Dr. Green is caring, knowledgable and always there for you. He gives as much time as the patient needs and is supportive in every way. I highly recommend him.
