You saved my hand at Jewish Hospital and I followed you several places and can still use my hand. You knew me as the fellow from Florida that had oranges that lost his hand on Good Friday 1984. God bless you.

I have had Dr Hanel. For several months now. I am very happy with him, he is an amazing surgeon and a kind and caring person. I highly recommend Dr. Hanel.

He’s been in the BUSINESS too long. Saw me worry about payments, elbow and arm still had nerve damage so I went in a few months later. “Examined me” for literally 20 seconds then told me to swim and gave me a wrap to wrap my arm while sleeping so it sets right. Seriously? Still get numbness to this day. Seriously affected my beliefs about doctor-patient relationships.

I waited 2 hours for my appointment with Dr. Hanel. He gave me a shot in the finger which did nothing and sent me in for a splint which would not stay on and was of no value.

I fell and shattered my left wrist. Dr. Hanel and associates performed surgery to repair the mess. What he thought might take 1.5 hours ended up taking almost 3.5 hours. However, my surgery turned out to be a learning experience for about 20 other doctors. Dr. Hanel has a philosophy of doing things the right way, regardless of how much time it takes. I agree with him. He and his helpers did a great job. I can use my left hand, and I am thankful he did a great job and provided a learning opportunity for other doctors.that

I had the unfortunate experience to slip and fall and demolish my wrist while trying to "catch" myself. I arrived and Overlake Hospital and my break was too complicated for them. After being transferred to Harborview, Dr. Hanel came in on his day off and performed my reconstruction surgery. It was quite complex.I am grateful to Dr. Hanel for his expertise and experience. Nearly a year later, it is still a little painful but I have ended up with a fully functioning wrist. This was something that I did not think was possible when I looked at it when it was broken!

The doctor's office needs a person to manage the logistics

My husband died after being treated by Dr. Hanel. He got necrotizing fasciitis and was scared to try and see him because he was so rude to us and made him feel like there was nothing wrong and that he just wanted pain medicine. If you want to live, don't see this doctor.
