Dr. Douglas W Hightower

Dr Hightower overdosed my mother and she had to be transferred to the hospital by ambulance.

We've had Dr Hightower as our dentist at least 18 years. He is extremely competent with crowns, root canals, extraction, implants and general dentistry. He is VERY patient and painless!

Self verified patientof Dr. Hightower. He was willing to care for my abscessed teeth on an emergency basis, with no hassle to me. The staff were exceedingly patient with my insurance company(another story). It only took two return trips to get my partial to fitting like a glove--no extra charge or problem getting an appointment. Will be continuing with him for further work.

If I could give this dentist a minus 100 I would. Seems after reading these comments he is running a scam of an office. Now for what he has done to me: 2016 still new to Pensacola and had just gotten health and dental insurance. Found this dentist, wait can't even say dentist, man would take my insurance and is down the road from me. Get my cleaning done and they tell me I need fillings. Sucks but gotta get it done, so I do. Meanwhile he is drilling, ends up drilling at the roof of my mouth.... A few days later part of the filling falls out...WORST pain ever! Get that fixed and think all is well now. Fast forward to 2017 when I get my cleaning, they tell me I need to get a root canal done due to the cavity protruding into my roots....on the same tooth he had done the filling on....now he expects me and my insurance company to get this root canal done by him and pay him for it?! Hahah think NOT! I'll just sue him instead. Also like to mention the front desk lady is awfully rude and for… no reason what so ever. Guess she started there 6 months ago? I simply asked to talk to the dentist and solve this between me and him; Trying not have to hire a lawyer but at this rate and with others having problems with him too, I will pursue action. Anyways she immediately gave me attitude and said he would call me back as she pretended to write my information down. Ending to this all don't use this man or this office. Nothing good will come of it as you have read now.

This Doctors office is extremely unprofessional. My husband came in for a tooth extraction where he paid 329.00 cash for the services, they didn't prescribe antibiotics or pain meds and the area became more infected, so the following week we went back to get it fixed because he has been in so mich pain and they FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST is so rude she argues from the time we get their to the time we leave. They want to charge ANOTHER 129.00 for services thats their fault not ours and As I'm telling my husband not to give them any more money because this is a problem they need to fix, she is talking over me, arguing, and fussing at us. So unprofessional. So my husband attempts to explain how rude she is to the doctor and he basically takes up for her and say well it's your fault all this is happening. Last time I checked the front desk clerk isn't authorized to speak to people any kind of way nor are they certified to give medical advice on what WE did wrong. We tried to tell them we… followed protocol and did nothing wrong and they swore us up and down that everything was our fault. I wouldn't send my dog here for treatment. They are the worst Dentist office ever and now I see why they never have any customers. The receptionist goes into the room am taunts my husband which causes him to get up and deny service and leave. I plan to go to the state board on them. We and the people whom referred are all going to find a new dentist and what the dentist office doesn't know is that I recorded the commotion the Front Desk lady caused. See you guys in court.
