Dr. Douglas J Horton, MD

I just submitted a review and discovered I did it incorrectly. I would like to say I have been seeing Dr Horton for 35 years. He is a great doctor. He spends time with you and always writes down new instructions, meds, etc. He is a very serious person. I don't think you could find a better asthma doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Horton for 35 years. He is one of the most intelligent and dedicated doctors I have ever had. I would definitely recommend him. He is a very serious and focused doctor and always returns calls. He cares very much about his patients.

Dr. Horton is a good listener, and I value his attention to detail. He writes down instructions for the patient which is EXCELLENT in my case. He is quite serious and his demeanor communicates that he must feel a high degree of care regarding the responsibility of being a physician. He is rock solid.

He really takes the time to listen and address concerns and work with you on a treatment plan. I highly recommend Dr. Horton.

This practice has unfortunately become very unprofessional in the past few years. The doctors are average, but seem oblivious to the poor behavior by their staff who grace us with their office gossip and profane language while children are present in the waiting room. Waits ALWAYS exceed 1 hour or more and I have not been able to speak to a real person at their practice unless I wait on hold for 20 minutes or more and they do not call back (after leaving a message) within 24 hours as they claim. They even charged me for a no-show appointment that they had made in error for a 5:00 AM consultation! The earliest appointment you can get is at 7:30 AM and it took waiting on the phone for over an hour while their billing department reversed the charge. Sadly, I will be transferring elsewhere.

Horrible practice. The doctor himself is fine but the practice is unprofessional and disorganized. it took 2 weeks to get a perscription called in, meanwhile i was unable to work due to his work note that said i could not return to while until I was on medication, meanwhile his staff assured me it was called in. On my last visit my chart was "lost" and now they have scheduled my appointment for an office that is 65 miles from my home and failed to tell me it was not at the regular office that I see.
