Dr. Douglas Freeman Keene, MD

Douglas Keene, MD is a founding partner of Boston PainCare Center, and is an Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Specialist.

Dr. Keene is a 1988 graduate of Boston Universitys Six Year Program in Liberal Arts and Medicine. He completed his medical residency in Anesthesiology at Boston University Medical Center in 1992 and completed a postgraduate fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1993. In 1993 he became an anesthesiologist at Deaconess-Waltham Hospital and the group, Greater Boston Anesthesia Associates, also provided anesthesia services at Milton Hospital from 2002-2008. Dr. Keene served as the Director of Pain Services at Milton Hospital from 2006-2008. In 2005 Dr. Keene completed a postgraduate fellowship in Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Keene is also an avid photographer and took many of the photographs seen on the Boston PainCare Center website. Dr. Keene is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in …both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, and is board certified in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
