Douglas S. Killian D.D.S.
Dr. Killian was born and raised in Lansing Michigan.  He attended Michigan State University from 1992-1995 majoring in Fisheries & Wildlife.  He then attended University of Michigan School of Dentistry from 1995 until graduating in 1999 with a DDS degree. 
And if there is any question, he still favors MSU.
In October of 1999 he joined Drs. David Hosking and Bill Beattie as an associate dentist here at Preference Dental.
Continuing Education has expanded his skills and services to patients.  He has completed over 144 hours at the Dawson Center for Advanced Esthetic Dentistry.  This changed the way everyday dentistry is done.  Comprehensive Care philosophy is essential to long lasting, successful dentistry.
His next focus is on integrating the placement of dental implants in our practice through the use of dental cone beam CT Guided surgery.  This will give our patients the opportunity to receive dental implants that are predictably placed and restored …using the Cerec CAD/CAM. 
Dr. Killian lives in Lakeview with his awesome wife Jennifer, and his 8 month old son Isaac.  He prefers to spend his spare time in the outdoors bowhunting, kayaking, backpacking, or I suppose, mowing the lawn.  We have three dogs Chase, Red, and Dierks. 
He is also involved in the West Michigan District Dental Society as the Mecosta County representative on the board, and previously went through the board chairs, serving as President in 2008.  He has served on various committees with WMMDS, and continues to serve on the Delegation to the Michigan Dental Association annual session.  He continues to serve on the Michigan Dental Association Special Committee on Annual Session since 2004, and was committee chair for the 2008 annual session in Grand Rapids.  He is also a member of the Francis B. Veddar Society  of  Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics.
