I am a disabled veteran after 31 years of active duty service in the US Army. After having 33 major surgeries, and required to be seen by many specialist to address my chronic health concerns it has been necessary to take medications that have created serious, most uncomfortable, and often frightening gastrointestinal problems. Up until two years ago, these problems persisted with less than positive prognosis for improving without potential life altering surgery. I was blessed to be referred to Dr. Kirtley. After two very thorough office visits and exams, Dr. Kirtley affirmed prior diagnosis of my problem, but was able to provide treatment that has provided relief without surgery and improved my quality of life immeasurably. He is most professional, knowledgeable, and intuitive if not inspired in the treatment that he provides. He is extremely personable, kind, and caring and is always interested in my overall well-being. Recently I was hospitalized hemorrhaging, Dr. Douglas Kirtley was called to see me in the hospital. He did an endoscope and found a tear in the esophagus. I found Dr. Kirkley very thorough, kind and patient.
