Dr. Douglas J. Kroll, MD

I've seen Dr. Kroll several times, and have yet to get answers. He is rude, abrupt, and dismissive. I do feel he has some capacity to be a great doctor, but he isn't concerned about the patient. I'm now searching for a new one, which is not easy in a rural area. Sadly, I do not recommend him.

I have received excellent care from Dr. Kroll - have been his patient for three and 1/2 years dealing with various heart problems. He eliminated my Afib through cardioversion. Thank you, Dr. Kroll

Dr. Kroll is a good doctor, yet one would like him to spend more time actually listening. He gives the impression that he's in a hurry, eager to dash off somewhere. He never seems like he's fully present. And he often fails to explain what is going on with my heart-health. I'm left in the air wondering all the time, and thus spend a good deal of time searching the internet for a better understanding of my health issues. My health has improved over the past year, and I attribute this to the meds Dr. Kroll has put me on. If the meds are indeed the reason for my improvement, then obviously he is doing a good job; at least at the moment. Nothing is inevitable in medicine. And nothing is guaranteed. And that's why patients all need to watch their health and their physicians like hawks.

Like Teddy Roosevelt, he "speaks softly and carries a big stick" which is both good and not so good depending upon the situation. Very prompt and runs a tight ship, he has been great so far in my care. I have sleep apnea and Dr. Kroll has been instrumental in trying to help in that matter.

Takes all the necessary time to anwer all questions, options thoroughly. Extremely knowledgeable, glad he was my doc in an emergency

My mother received very poor care while under Dr. Kroll's care at the hospital. After 2 hours of being released from the hospital, she died of a ruptured aorta. She had all the symptoms of a tear in the aortic wall. Dr. Kroll kept saying the pain she was experiencing was unrelated.
