Dr. Douglas Charles Kutz, MD

Very contradicting, told me to get a second opinion on my pfo when I was there for my mom. He said If I was compassionate that I would be there at the hospital at 9 am…I work third shift. Laughed at me, and said if I keep complaining that it’s going to affect how my mom is treated. He was right. There was a statin in her hospital bed while my 2 year old was there to come visit. She came home with knots in her hair. He did things without telling me and when I asked why he said that he doesn’t need my permission to take her off drugs. I’m her poa so yes you do. He also told me it’s safe to take aspirin with blood thinners. He refused to do a pfo test which is very basic. He said it’s not worth it for my mom. I have patients in their 90s who get everything they need. I had to call her cardiologist in Beloit. We are seeing him in 2 weeks. He said everything that Doctor said is a LIE!

Treated my disabled wife terribly

I met Dr. Kutz last year and I was impressed by his kindness and his willingness to take me on as a new patient. When I walked out of the lab after blood work done I told everyone at Meriter W. Washington Avenue that Dr. Kutz was GOOD!!!Dr. Kutz is extremely through in diagnosing any problems and then in taking care of them.I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kutz because I feel he is simply the BEST!!! And I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Kutz put the pieces together and solved the problem where another doctor had failed miserably (earlier that same day). He was calm and collected but sympathetic. He was not hasty to diagnose, didn't jump to conclusions, but when he had the answer, he acted decisively. Essentially, he saved my life. I can't praise him too strongly.
