Dr. Douglas Kwai Ming Kwock, MD

I find Dr. Kwock to be the perfect blend of thoroughness and ease. He is patient with my questions, kind to my children, and makes the whole experience of having a check up reassuring and stress free. His staff is lovely and make getting an appointment pain free. I had had a difficult time with a previous office, and the difference is just wonderful. I have never had to wait for my appointment. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a pediatrician. I am only rating the follow up on visits a 3 since I have never needed that, but in other ways he and his staff have gone out of their way for us.

It's hard deciding on a pediatrician when you have your first child. I had no idea on how to pick but fortunately, I made a good choice. Dr. Kwock is easy to talk to, smart, trustworthy and caring. What is one of my biggest pet peeves with doctors is that most of mine have me in the waiting room forever even when I had an appointment. I don't think my daughter would have the tolerance for that! Dr. Kwock is ready to see us usually within 5 minutes of our arrival. And what is also important is that whenever I've needed his help off-hours, he calls me promptly when I leave my number with the off-hours service. Trust me, I've done this several times over the years. I have recommended him to friends without hesitation. The only down side to seeing Dr. Kwock was that awful, awful parking structure at Kapiolani. Thankfully, they have replaced it and although it's a farther walk, at least there's now ample parking with DECENT sized stalls. Esp when you are handling a baby carrier.

Dr. Kwock is knowledgeable and kind. He, and his office staff, always make my son and I feel welcome and comfortable.

Dr. Kwock makes us feel like our son is the only patient he has. He and his nurses, Pam and Rachel genuinely care for my son and we have only positive things to say about his office. Dr. Kwock is gentle and patient - not to mention intelligent, up-to-date and informative.
