Dr. Douglas Morrell Lange, MD

This doctor did a total knee replacement on my left knee in 2011. My knee replacement did not turn out so great. My knee stays swollen and painful each and every day. Did not find his bedside manner to be that great or the way he treated me when I visited his office. I will never recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great doctor to perform a Total Knee Replacement..

I gave Dr. Lange a review in 2013 expressing how upset I was with his vebal manners/treatment of my 81 year old Mom. She had multiple issues and complained of pain and he basically sent her packing after about 5 minutes after making her wait an hour saying she was a "train wreck." Well, she has since gotten up her bravado to trust another Doctor (and her pain and suffering became unbearable) and has since been diagnosed with a meningioma in her back (thoracic region). The new Doctor feels confident that her issues are all due to this tumor and is recommending it's removal by a neurosurgeon. Had Dr. Lange done an MRI in response to my Mom's complaints, perhaps it would have been discovered and diagnosed much earlier and her pain and suffering wouldn't have gone on this long, since these tumors are slow growing. Shame on you, Dr. Lange.

My Mother has been a patient of Dr. Lang for some time, and he has replaced both her hips. She was happy with him until recently when she went to see him with terrible pain down her legs and back. Maybe he was having a bad day, but after making her wait about an hour, he was so incredibly rude to my sweet 81 year old Mother that she was visibly shaken when she came home, was nearly in tears, and talked about it for months afterward. This is unusual behavior for her! I think she's still not over it. Among other insults he told her she was a "train wreck", told her he didn't have time to answer all her "annoying questions", and that she was keeping him from seeing his other patients who were also in need. He had been with her for about 5 minutes. My Mom is the sweet, quiet type who writes down all her questions and has a great respect for Doctors and their time. His treatment of her was inexcusable and now she is afraid to go back to him. The saving grace of this man's office is his… wonderful, accommodating office staff.

Extremely satisfied with results of Dr Lange's care throughout total knee replacement surgery. Professional, efficient, but utterly human and caring. I am so grateful to have my very active life back!

Dr Lange never rushes out the door to see his next patient. He always calmly explains what is wrong and how he will fix it.
