Dr. Douglas W Litchfield, MD

I can't praise Dr. Litchfield highly enough. He has been my eye caregiver for many years, performed two completely successful cataract surgeries which restored my vision to 20/20, gives me thorough annual check-ups to keep a close eye on any problems, and is unfailingly kind and considerate. He answers all my questions patiently and explains until I understand. I hope he will be available to be my ophthalmologist until I leave this planet.

he rushes thru the appointments with nothing but nods, & uhhuhs, while at the same time he's doin things while tryin to listen to me and mummbling things to his transcriptionist to write down along side him. and as soon as he gets done mummblin to his trans. then he gets up and says "see ya later" and shakes my hand. i have a condition that has left me blind in one eye as well as cornea transplant in other eye which after he romoved the last of the sutures that my RX had changed so severely to wehre im no longer able to wear a lense comfortable to gain the 20/30 vision thruout the day normally like he claims i have. and he has failed to note any thing what soever in regards to what i say about how my condition affects me and my life as well as my inability to do even the simplest of every day tasks he just states "he has 20/30 vision, corrected" but fails miserably to note that my eye doesnt produce hardly any tears watsoever nor does the lens allow oxygen to flow to the cornea… graft under the lense, nor will he note that the 20/30 he claims i have in the one eye is only capable fluctuatin thruout the day. flat out he does not take the time be more one on one according to patients condition and how it affects them as an individual if your lookin for a dr to be more attentive to you and what you are saying as well as explain things to you thoroghly to not leave you confused then i'd advise seeing another Dr. also it took me 4 different calls over the course of the past 6 months to keep remindin them to fax my records to a corneal surgeon so i can follow thru with recommendations, only delayin my whole treatment process significantly due to their extreme lack of speed as far as gettin records to places in time. same with a disability hearing. i had 6 appointments in past 2 years and have signed numerous releases for , as well as called on numerous occassions to get my records forwarded to disability office and i ended up showin up at my HEARING by myself with no medical records for the last 2 years leavin very embarrassed, and very very nervous at hearing very very poor doctor patient relations
