Dr.Liva was great - amazing knowledgeable staff.

Went to doctor for a specific problem and billed insurance for tests and consultation. Already had prescription checked by another doctor a few days before who referred me to Dr Liva. Billed me for a prescription check which insurance doesn't cover as well as for a consultation and other tests. Called office to see why they charged for prescription check when it was already performed elsewhere. Front office was rude and arrogant. i wouldn't recommend this doctor.

Doctor D. Liva recently completed my second cataract surgery, and I cannot be more pleased with the results. Not only Dr. Liva but also his equally caring staff allayed the few apprehensions that I had felt. He is passionate about what he does. In addition, he is easy to talk with. The two cataract procedures have given me renewed vision. I am so pleased with the good doctor's work.

Dr. Liva is an excellent Ophthalmologist but beware of his front office staff. They show no concern for what your visit costs you out of pocket or what your insurance covers.

Before you book with this doctor make certain he accepts your insurance company. When I made my appointment no one asked me what I had as insurance coverage. I am covered by two medical insurance plans. They do not accept either. So check this out before taking an afternoon off from work like I did and wasting your time in going to their office to find out they do not take your insurance. Also they do not call you the day before to reconfirm your appointment so make certain that you mark your calendar and call them. There are lots of opthamologists out there. Make certain to go to one that takes your insurance.

There was so much over-booking of patients that the wait time to complete a visit was totally unacceptable. After 1 1/2 hours, I was still in the office waiting for the final phase of the exam, and the Dr. wasn't nearly ready to see me.
