Dr. Douglas Wayne Mapel, MD

My experience with Dr. Maple was terrible. My family member was in the ICU and had a cardiac episode that at the time was being called a heart attack (we now know it was not a heart attack after speaking with a cardiologist). This was the second episode she had had that night and things were not looking good. She wasn't expected to pull through. My family and I were standing at bedside experiencing what we thought would be our last moments with her. Enter Dr. Maple. He came in with no sympathy and pure arrogance. He was explaining the situation and options and when my mom gave more attention to my presumed to be dying family member than him he snapped that she needed to be looking at him when he was talking. He did this on two more occasions. Again, these were the last moments we thought we'd be spending with her. I hope I never see this man again.
