Dr. Douglas Paul Mcbride, MD

My mother, who has a rare blood disorder, came into the waiting room this weekend at Ochsner Hancock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis, MS. She left with no treatment plan and in tears at how she had been treated. Dr. McBride called her a liar because he believed her physician did not work out of the office she sees her at (she is there only a few days a month which was verified from her prescription bottle that was refilled just a few days before.) My mother asked me to contact her Dr. (who has provided an on call number because the rarity of her diagnosis). Dr. McBride was rude, callous, and flippant about her medical needs. This same physician has treated her poorly on a past visit with an infection that required a much stronger antibiotic. He is not a caring physician and clearly not educated on the needs of all his patients (which is understandable) but does not do due diligence to listen to the patient or seek advice from their primary care provider. I will be contacting the state… medical board to lodge a formal complaint as well.
