Dr. Douglas J Mckee, MD

I've been a patient of Med Group of KC for20+ yrs and a patient of Dr McKee's for 5+ years. Both have provided excellent care and service over the years. For example, Dr, McKee has referred me to specialists as needed, and than has taken the time to talk to the specialist and/or me about test results and prognosis (once he called the morning after a big snowstorm re: test results, I was home b/c my employer cancelled work (a rarity), and the snow was still coming down). MGKC's staff has always been efficient, professional, and cheerful. If Dr McKee is not available, I have no qualms about seeing either nurse practioner, Kim Nagel or Lara Wilson. Finally, until she retired, Annie was the most-skilled phlebetomist I've ever had (I've made regular blood bank donations in the past),

Dr. McKee has been my primary care physician for a number of years and I am highly satisfied. He is personable and always takes time to answer any questions I may have. He has provided referrals for other specialties and procedures. I have recommended him to a number of friends.

Dr. McKee is very easy to talk to, always takes the time to listen, is open to discussions about options and will tell you in easy and straightforward terms what your condition(s) are and what will work.

Dr. McKee is easy to talk to. He listens, analyzes your problem, and discusses the solutions available in plain English. His support staff is efficient; messages are returned in a timely manner. If you get in a jam and he feels you need to be seen, he can usually work you in.

Dr. McKee has always been a great primary Doctor for me. He has always taken the time explain any medical issues to me. His Bedside Manners are great. I trust my doctor and respect his medical opinion. I know he will do the best thing for me. My brother and I both have Dr. McKee as our primary doctor and we love him. Could not ask for a better primary doctor.

I recently lost my regular doctor as he retired. I knew that he would be hard to replace as he always listened to my concerns and worked with me to find solutions. One of my executives at work recommended Dr. McKee. I'm so happy that he did. Dr. McKee is team player similiar to my previous doctor! I consider that very lucky indeed. Plus he or his nurse are very quick to respond (for example when I had the flu with a fever).

Doug is a compassionate, highly skilled clinician who cares about his patients, and communicates very well both directly with you during a visit, as well as letting you know results of tests, and discussing with you regarding plan of care. He helps the patient to be an informed participant in his or her own care.

Dr. McKee is very professional. i went to visit him after having been diagnosed by another medical professional. He said he wanted to start from the beginning since he felt like he was coming in from the middle or end so he ordered x-ray testing and blood work, he returned me to my cardiologist and sent me to a pulminologist, none of whom I've seen in the last year. After all those visits, I will return to Dr. McKee in a couple of months. I feel very secure in his knowledge and methodology. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
