If I can give zero stars I would!! All of my high school friends always talk about this DR, always telling me to go and experience the wonderful team they have. So I went ahead and got scheduled for an IUD removal, in which the operator had confirmed with me that that's what the appointment was for. I get there and front desk was not the best, I didn't get the receptionists name or else I would have submitted it. Once my name got called I was so excited to finally get my IUD removed. The medical assistant then brought me into a room to go over my Fpact (family planning program application that helps cover birth control services) she treated me like I was lying on the Fpact application, telling me that if I am lying about my income my children's insurance could be suspended, she overall had the rudest attitude and I feel she had no say in my children's insurance status (unless she is a government caseworker then I understand) but it sure didn't look like she was. After she was done… criticizing my income she said "okay you can now go ahead and make an appointment for an IUD removal" and I let her know that the person I had spoken to confirmed this appointment was for the IUD removal. She then said "I'm sorry but if we didn't have the application re certified first then we can't schedule you for the removal" I understand that some offices have their own protocols but they should really explain the appointments correctly to patients.. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE COMING BACK OR REFERRING FRIENDS AND FAMILY HERE. This has got to be the worst experience I have encountered in a medical office. And I myself work in the medical field, in my office that type of attitude is not at all tolerated. And also where I work we do re certifications and a patients child's insurance status is NEVER involved due to it is a separate program for patients with no insurance and IF they qualify (depending on family size and income) and we NEVER question a patients income; it can help cover birth control services as long as they are still able to have children. I hope that the medical assistant fixes her attitude and stops telling patients this lie!!!! It is not okay for you to do that.
