Dr. Douglas George Nilson, MD

I rarely go to the doctors except my annual checkups with my PC, my eye doc, etc. So having to go to the ER for a serious condition, I was quite nervous. Dr Doug Nilson and the staff at Down East Community Hospital were caring, professional and informative. Their bedside manner was A+

I was sent to Southern Maine Health Care after being seen by the walk- in clinic in Kennebunk. The walk in clinic was concerned about my symptoms and wanted me to have futher testing that they couldn't provide. All and all Dr Nilson made me feel like a GOMER (get out of my ER). He made me feel like I was wasting his time. I left with no answers and feeling worse after his care then when I went in. I wonder if the CEO of the hospital knows that he has a very uncaring doctor in his ER?

Terrific bedside manner and wonderful ER doctor. Dr. Nilson was terrific with my young son when he had to go to the emergency room. He was an excellent diagnostician and had a wonderful manner. He was extremely professional along with being warm and caring. You are in good hands in the ER when Dr. Nilson is on duty.
