Dr. Douglas Cecil Pollard, MD

His office staff are medically incompetent. HE personally cares LESS about you. Doesn't give you a THOROUGH examination b/c he could care LESS about you.

Went in to see dr. Pollard because my primary care physician was out that week, I was experiencing shooting burning pain that was spreading from my shoulder down my arm, chest pain, and dizziness. I was told to come in immediately by reception. I get there and this joke of a doctor barely lookes at me, never once took out a stethoscope and told me to raise my arms. When I told him it didn't hurt because it wasnt muscular, he said no thats what it is. I told him I was worried about a heart issue or heart attack and he didnt acknowledge me at all. He kept saying very condescendingly that it must be hard take care of the kids all the time. I fought him and fought him telling him something was wrong and he just sat there and smiled at me because im a young woman who has children and no risk factors. When I tried telling him these issues had been getting progressively worse he told me I should consider making a "well visit" and not just seeing them every time I have a problem. I left… shaking I have never been so upset or felt so disrespected in my life.

Dr Pollard in now my GP and he has done an excellent job for me. He is thoughtful and takes the long game in patient care. I highly recommend him to my friends,

Dr. Pollard was dismissive of me as a patient and did not listen to the symptoms I was experiencing and were significantly impacting my life. Instead he focused on asking random general questions unrelated to the reason of my visit and sent me on my way without even addressing the issues. I’ve never had such a negative experience with a Dr like this. I ended up going to another Dr who did blood work, diagnosed the issue, and resolved.

Took my elderly mother to see him after an ER visit for stomach issues. He asked her a few questions, watched her walk about three feet, and sent us on our way. Said to come back in a year. He wouldn't even look at me when I said she had ongoing stomach issues, depression, anxiety, stability issues, hip pains, severe memory loss and confusion, hearing problems, etc. Glad to see nothing has changed with York Hospital and the elderly. It's just about billing Medicare.

Had to deal with him in a life and death situation with someone in my care. He was rude, abrupt, dismissive, and arrogant. He also initially misdiagnosed. Will never have anything to do with him again.

He is not willing to give you a referral for a specialist and to send you for a blood work

needs to listen instead of typing on his computer the whole time.
