Dr. Douglas M Rothkopf, MD

I went to Dr. Rothkopf to have bones fused in my finger due to swelling and pain. It looks worse now than it did to begin with. He is a “plastic surgeon” so I was not expecting it too look worse. He couldn’t have cared less. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor. There are so many good doctors out there. He is not one of them.

22 years ago I had a daughter and she was born with a cleft lip gum and open palate. Dr. Rothkopf repair the lip and palate and did an amazing job. My daughter just graduated from Worcester University and is now going to be starting graduate school this coming fall and she is going for her doctorate in audiology so she can help with children hearing. Thank you for inspiring my daughter to help other children

Doug Rothkopf is an extraordinarily gifted doctor. He has a a rare combination of great clinical skills and an excellent bedside manner. He has performed two reconstructive surgeries on me. I could not be more pleased with the results. He's great.

Poorly explained answers to questions I'm still concerned about. Unbelievably sloppy bandaging to an area with a dozen stitches that left more than half the wound open. Gave me two gauze pads for an 8 day period, and was uncaring with the fact I am unable to purchase medical bandages after telling me I need to continuously clean and cover my wound. Left me worried I will have permanent nerve damage with my numb fingers. I expressed I haven't been able to feel two fingers for days after my hand was split open from a high powered fan. I was told "I wouldn't worry about that". I don't understand how this man holds a position of authority where permanent issues may result.

This doctor was great, he performed my first Restalyne lip injection and him and his assistant made the experience vey comfortable and pleasant. I was extremely pleased with my results and I am definitely going to be going back to him in the future, although I didn't need a follow up. The entire visit with him took about 45 minutes after my initial wait of 25 minutes. I got there at 830 and left around 945. I would recommend him to friends and family for lip injections.

Dr Rothkopf was very pleasant and spent ample time with me for my first botox treatment. Unfortunately for me I ended up getting ptosis (drooping) of my right eye lid post procedure. Dr Rothkopf had me come in right away to evaluate the situation. Again very pleasant and concerned but what made me wonder about his competency was that he claimed he had never heard of this happening before. Im not a medical professional at all but even I know that it is the #1 side effect of botox if not injected properly. It says it all over the internet. So in general he was a nice Doc and didn't rush me through the appointment, but injected the botox wrong and I was disfigured for 2 months and he claimed that he had no knowledge of the most common side effect of botox.
