Flag Ironically Dr. Douglas Rubinson has a video posted where he speaks to his compassion and great care when dealing with cancer patients. Our family experience was totally different. In first meeting with Dr. Rubinson to discuss cancer and treatment he seemed totally distracted, In fact during the meeting he looked at his watch which left all feel that too much of his time was being taken and that never rested well with us. He may have all the credentials of being a premier Medical Oncology specialists but he needs to always remember that each patient in which he deals needs his full attention. Each cancer patient is concerned and relies on Dana Farber staff to devote full attention during intake meeting. Also disappointed in post surgery follow up. Did not address live cells in removed tumor and elevated blood levels that indicated something was wrong. Result...patient died in two months because of cancer spread throughout the body.
