Dr. Douglas Michael Sammer, MD

Dr Sammer is a brilliant surgeon. His interpersonal skills are wonderful. He is low- key, caring, gentle, and totally professional. I feel very blessed to have found him and to have had him as a surgeon.

I am a dentist so my hands are very important to me. Dr Sammer has operated on both my hands and elbow with great success. I send him all my patients with hand and arm issues.

He will send for you to get an x-ray of your hand even when you show up for something else. This will cost you a good amount of money, on top of paying for the office visit. He literally told me I had cysts in my hand (you can see them and feel them) and ordered me to have an MRI. This MRI cost me even more money, and now instead of just getting the cysts drained, the radiologist Oganes Ashikyan, MD said there were NO cysts. I recently had an ultrasound that confirmed I had cysts, the surgeon even felt them with his own hands, and due to the radiologist not having eyesight I have to waste even more money to find someone else to drain them. This is such a joke and a scam.

My experience with Dr. Sammer could not have been any worse. It was a complete nightmare. He is a total disgrace to his profession. It is a shame that someone so horrible can practice medicine.

As a practicing physician myself, I have the privilege of knowing how lucky I was to have Dr. Sammer take care of me. Rarely in life due reputations match the individual to which greatness if often proclaimed. Dr. Sammer is a obvious exception to this rule: he is both outgoing and engaging yet thoughtful and patient, he is humble beyond reproach, and yet, he is one of the brightest individuals and talented surgeons in the country. That's why I chose him...lucky for me, he was as advertised: the Best.

Very nice guy. Really helps my hand. Appointments take long time to get in.
