Douglas J. Spiel, M.D. is a Board Certified Radiologist, and a member of the World Institute of Pain. Dr. Spiel was the first radiologist in the United States to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and in recent years has served on the executive board.

As a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), he is credentialed to teach and practice abroad. In addition, Dr. Spiel sits on the editorial board of Pain Physician, the world’s preeminent pain journal and is responsible for reviewing articles prior to publication.

Dr. Spiel brings with him over 20 years of experience in the area of interventional pain. Everyone in Dr. Spiel office is nice and caring. Staff is very efficient. The wait time is minimal. Dr Spiel is incredibly professional and takes time to understand my concerns even when I initially did not follow his advice on surgery. Yes, he took an extra time to deal with a depressed person that I was due to concussion, pain and weakness. He took time to schedule an emergency surgery for me personally. He personally took part in the surgery and at the recovery room, he was by my side. The results of 2 disks replacement surgery in my neck were close to 'magic' - I could not believe it was even possible. I've noticed the improvements immediately when I woke up after the surgery. I am very fortunate to be in Dr. Spiel care. I trust this doctor 100% and would highly recommend Dr. Spiel to everyone

the most uncomfortable chairs in waiting room. painful! Four years later, a 'creative' billing dept added a new service supposedly from 2018 never on the first bogus 2019.billing. one time is a mistake. An additional time reeks of fraud. dont waste your time

I've come to know Dr. Spiel pretty well. He is always bursting with energy, talking very quickly, using big medical words. I have to stop him and say, please explain what you just said. His knowledge is vast and he will be with you, as a concerned doctor through lots of things. He's very knowledgeable.......and one of the few doctors who will listen, read you written questions over your shoulder, he's far ahead of where I am. Yes, he keeps appointments short, but not too short. You can ask him anything and he doesn't get mad. I really like this doctor, even though we may fight over some issues........he will always listen. His staff is very professional and friendly. If I call the office with a question, someone will always get back to me.....I'd say he's excellent !!! 5 stars........:)

I agree with last person...waste of time. Injections did nothing, they kept trying to justify it. Then they ran!

Great doctor. Blockers useless. Very disappointed. They must have known that blockers only work for small percentage, next phase $$. Too risky! Staff shaky in returning calls, living in pelvis pain worst thing in the world and when not one doctor can help makes you feel disgusted.

Great doctor poor results! Injections was a hassle and once that did not work they disappeared on me! Odds of blockers working for pelvis pain is like 10 percent, waste of time !! Don't bother. Next step is well I'm still waiting for someone to call me .

Don't bother with this dr. You will wait forever for an appt and than he will cancel. Doesn't care about you or your time.
