Dr. Douglas William Teske, MD

i am now 36 years old and if it was not for this dr i would not be alive

Dr. Teske was my Doctor for 24 years and I wouldn't be here without him. He knew how far I had to drive to see him and always made sure he saw me before he took his lunch or stayed past when it was time to go home to make sure he had seen me. Even with my new doctor I still consult him.

The day my under-2 year old grandson was to be released, I tried to stand him up to dress him - he couldn't stand at all. I called the nurse in, she observed my grandson and went to get Dr. Teske. HE REFUSED TO COME TO THE ROOM - said the child was just "tired" from being in the hospital so long. To make a long story short, my little grandson had had a stroke and ended up being re-admitted. DR. TESKE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE ANY WHERE.

My son was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart. When he was less than two years old he was hospitalized for an infection in his blood. Unfortunatly Dr. Teske was the cardiologist on the floor that month. The morning of the last day of my son's hospitalization we complained to the Dr. that my son was lethargic, couldn't walk, couldn't even hold his head up. This was NOT normal for him. The night before he was playing and having a good time like normal. Dr. Teske completly ignored our concerns until I harped on him so much he finally came in, saw my son in the state he was in and said he was just tired of being in the hospital. He released us to go home. Within an hour of being home he started having a seizure that was slowly stopping his breathing. We called 911 and he was rushed back to the hospital and the ICU because he had been having a stroke. Little did I know that with his heart problem he was at risk for strokes and little did I know that the symptoms he was displaying in the… hospital were classic signs, also called TIA's. My son is now partially paralized on his left side, has seizure disorder, and will never get past the mentality of a fifth grader. All because of the lack of concern of a doctor that I put my faith and trust in. I would NEVER recommend him to ANYONE!!

Dr. Teske has been my daughter's cardiologist for 17 years. She had open heart surgery at the age of 14 months and has done great. Dr. Teske has proven himself to be professional, competent and very caring
