Dr. Doug and I first met at the McClaren Wound Clinic where I went suffering from a wound caused from MRSA. I had it for 7 years and could not seem to find a solution to a cure until I met him. He was like an Angel unaware. He put me on the right path to healing and within a year I had a completely closed wound that had existed right where I sat! Very painful. His encouragement and compassion met the world to me then and still does. He became my Primary Care Physician and I never felt in better hands. He seen me through tears and laughter and shared in each emotion with me. He will always be #1 in my book. I wish him a speedy recovery and pray each day God will grant him the health to carry on such a wonderful God given talent for healing! God bless you Dr. Doug! Miss you. A.

I am 64 years old and I have been a patient of Dr. Vanderjagt since 2003 and can tell you there is none better. Medical knowledge, personal compassion, willingness to discuss and explain procedures and options and many other attributes that make him not just a good Doctor but a great one. No exaggeration. I have been to many Doctors in my life you won't find a better family practice Doctor. I have lived out of the Lansing area since 2010 and continue to see Dr. Vanderjagt even though it's meant driving 125 miles to get to his office. It's been worth it. He is accompanied by "Tina" his nurse associate and assistant and together their efforts have been wonderfully effective. Blessings be upon them both.

It has been a while but I saw Vanderjact for several years. After several surgical procedures he kept me on multiple opioids including Ocycontin, Furagesic patches, etc. He told me I needed a better doctor to handle my health issues and addiction. Instead of referring me to another doc he sent me a registered letter from MidMichigan Physicians stating that he would no longer see me and I was not allowed to see anyone else from that group either. I believe Dr Carella, a real piece of self-important worth was part of this decision. They would not take my calls and made no effort to help find a doctor to help me. He actually ran into me later and asked how I was doing. Like he gave a care. I will hold this issue with me forever.

I have been seeing Dr Vanderjagt for 20 years. His knowledge of medical issues continue to amaze me. Friendly and listens. For the odd aches and pains he is willing to try different approaches instead of immediately going to a specialist. Those times, he has taking care of the problem 100% of the time. No specialist, no un-needed surgery.

I have found him to excellant. If I could give him 6 stars I would do it. They just don't make them like him any more. He treated my father for years, now I know why my father loved this man.

Takes two months to get an office vist...unacceptable !
