Dr. Abraham Issa Awwad, DO

Dr. Awward is very caring and he takes time with his patients making sure you understand your treatment. He has wonderful bedside manner and extremely a positive man. I just love him Awesome Doctor.

Dr. Awwad is a superb, caring and very smart doctor. It is rare to find a brilliant doctor who is also willing to take his time to talk to me and carefully review all of my medical records and history of my labs. He made minor adjustments in my treatment which significantly improved the quality of life. I come in with a list of questions that i write up from research I do on the Internet and he takes all the time I need to answer every question. Sometimes I look up something obscure and he always already knows the answer or looks it up. He is the best.

Dr. Awwad is one of the VERY best physicians I have ever had. He made me feel comfortable right away, and knew exactly what he needed to do for me since I had a lot of issues in that area. I also LOVE his office girl. She is very friendly and helpful. She also makes sure you get your test results to the doctor before your visit as well as any medication changes in your meds. I would say that going to see a neph was actually a great experience with him, and I enjoy my visits!

Wonderful Doctor, saved my life .

Dr. Awwad is an incredible physician ! He is the most caring, concerned physician my husband and I have ever known. In 2010, Dr Awwad saved my husband's life AFTER a HOSPITAL DR performed a 'routine' kidney biopsy, nicked the kidney and could not get it to stop bleeding. That created a 'page Kidney', which put my husband into kidney failure. DR. AWWAD took care of my husband in a way that I have never seen a physician do, with such care and commitment - literally saving my husband's life. Dr Awwad gave me his personal cell phone and asked me to text/call him ANY time- which I have done a lot over the past 4 years. His passion for his patients, his extreme knowledge regarding kidneys, etc., ESRD, dialysis, etc., amazes me. He usually always has student doctors under his tutelage and I can see the respect that they have for him. My husband is now on home peritoneal dialysis and without Dr. Awwad's guidance and support through the past four years, I do not think that we would have… made it this far! We truly feel blessed that Dr. Awwad is in our lives.

I cannot say enough good about Dr Awwad. Since he has been taking care of my father I have felt more comfortable and confident that someone is actually interested in his care. Out of the many doctors my father sees due to many medical problems, only Dr Awwad takes the time and truly cares to understand my father's entire medical problem. Dr Awwad does not focus only on the kidneys, he monitors your entire health and ensures that your wellbeing come first and foremost. If you are in need of a Nephrologist, you must see Dr Awwad. Do not wait! His philosophy is dialysis is a last resort. Not first.

Dr. Awwad is a very, very nice, smart and compassionate doctor. He is certainly the best doctor I've ever seen. He is the only doctor able to control my kidney problems. Even when I lost my job and insurance, he personally called me and insisted that I come in and see him, without charge. When I left the appointment I wanted to pay the $20 I use to pay as the co-pay. The receptionist asked me to wait and Dr. Awwad came out, walked me to the car and told me he wasn't taking my money and to buy groceries for my family. I didn't understand until I got to the grocery store and realized he put $60 in my purse. He is the best!

He took a lot of time with me, listened to me, ran tests other doctors didn't run, and diagnosed my illness after three doctors and two years where no one could figure put what is wrong. I am now being treated and feel better now then I've felt in the past ten years. I've never had a more compassionate doctor.

He takes his time. He cares about me as a patient.

Dr. Awwad really cared about me, listened to me, asked questions about me and my family history and diagnosed a condition that no other doctor had figured out for 15 years. It changed my life. Great staff. He returns calls.
