Dr. Ada Lopez-Mendez, MD

Dr Lopez-Mendez & her staff are amazing! I spoke to Nina a few times prior to my appointment & each time she was very patient, professional & friendly. Today I met with Donna, before seeing the Dr, and she was great! She explained how the Dr works & what would go on during & after my appointment. Both her & Nina followed up with me before I left & again, they were great. Dr Lopez-Mendez was on time, extremely pleasant, knowledgeable & thorough. She explained everything she was going to do & what the plans were going forward. If you’re looking for a rheumatologist who will do her best by you, look no forward!

She is a terrible listener. You better have something very simple or common or she will talk down to you because her ego can’t handle that she doesn’t know what to do. Awful person. I don’t know how she sleeps at night.

She is a wonderful doctor. My husband and I both go to her. She is always spot on with her diagnosis. We would highly recommend her if you are looking for a thoughtful and caring doctor

Dr. Mendez is the first doctors of many who has actually treated my RA. She is kind, and understands what is happening with my diaganosis.

I was diagnosed by my General Practitioner with Lupus almost 2 years ago. Since then, I have been on the quest to find a good Rheumatologist to treat me. I have seen Dr. Lopez three times now, and will not be returning for a fourth. She has ZERO knowledge of what Lupus is, talks down everything that the Lupus Foundation of America has posted on their website, and suggests that her patients need to just go on diets & see a mental health provider. Yet, she will send you out the door with prescriptions for Lupus medications. She has a big ego & thinks quite highly of herself, listing off for her all her qualifications. In one appointment she will say one thing, and in the next tell you the exact opposite! I've relayed my experience to everyone I know of in the Lupus/Fibromaylgia communities and they have all said the same thing: STAY AWAY! As a side note, the clinic is very old/dirty and smells like a run down nursing home inside. It puts me off every time I have gone there, which I… won't be doing again.

I do not like her new policy of not refilling prescriptions. Now you must go see a primary doctor to have your prescriptions refilled. Another way for these clinics to charge and make more money. You have to pay to see another doctor for no reason when you have had a doctor for years that is capable of renewing prescriptions.

Outstanding Doctor in all respects. Treats you like you are a friend.
