Dr. Adam Patrick Dossey, MD

After waiting 45 minutes to see the dr for exam for glasses and routine six month eye pressure check, I was urgently forced by an assistant to take a field exam, stating that the doctor wants this every year. It had been seven months since my last field test and a redo field test six months before that test. Having a headache and actually unable to focus, I told her I did not want to do the test. She insisted that I do the field test, telling me that this would be my only test today and that my eyes would not be dialated, as if she knew what the doctor would do. I attempted to do one eye but was very upset and unable to finish this test and left without seeing the doctor. The staff is the reason I’m not going back.

Was talked into purchasing option 3 lens for cataract removal. $2800.00 plus and not covered by insurance. He told me that I would see very good long distance and as good as I did with my contact lens close up. After surgery couldn't read at all. First I was told to wait a few weeks and it would get better. Been three months and still can't read without readers. I could of just put the regular lens in and used reading glasses. That lens would of been covered completely by insurance. He still claims that this is the best lens so no kind of reimbursement.

Dr . Dossey performed tests to confirm the diagnosis of my first doctor . He answered my questions concerning the necessity of the procedure prescribed. When I had further questions and called , he was very conscientious to answer my further questions and exhibited great concern for my well being. I was very appreciative of his caring attitude .

A decent doctor until he makes a mistake. Then, it is all out war to get his mistake corrected. His surgery left my eye damaged and now they want me to pay to get it corrected. After nearly 20 years as a patient at Heaton Eye, this is my thanks.
