Dr. Ajay Goyal, MD

The staff always follow up on questions, appointments and phone calls. Dr Goyal is calm, experienced and extremely knowledgeable. The whole process of the bariatric surgery is less cumbersome because of how well organized the office is. The office provides excellent reading material, surgery preparedness and support. I highly recommend. Surgery is a scary process but with Dr Goyal and his team, the fears have been significantly mitigated.

I'm not sure what to say. I'm not a review person but I had such a bad experience after my surgery with him that I just had to do something. He seemed nice at first, then I had a complication and he blamed me. He had such an attitude that he was like two different doctors. I would not recommend him

found the office to be very impersonal - seemed they wanted me to do things my insurance company did not even require !! choose not to have surgery as i have met a few other patients they had surgery with their group and were not pleased!

Dr. Goyal is an excellent surgeon. He and his colleague Dr. Forrester are both very upbeat and supportive. They are great craftsmen in their profession. The office staff could NOT be friendlier or more supportive! They really are awesome.

On the website early one morning, I had the pleasure of selecting the best place for bariatric surgery. The website for N.J. Bariatric Center provided the necessary and invitational information to make the telephone call after trying to find a doctor for over a year. I was very pleased with the credentials and expertise of its Doctors and Staff. Foremost, attending a Bariatric Center was the best decision. The initial telephone call was very professional and meeting Staff was just as heartwarming. The office setting was cheerful and comfortable. Somewhat nervous after poor care with a prior doctor, Dr. Goyal and his Insurance Specialist put me at ease, immediately. Dr. Goyal made a recommendation with a definitive reason for the best procedure which was totally appreciated and more appropriate. At all times, he showed "total care" and "total concern" for my health while in the office or hospital. Literature and seminar were well written and informative providing before and… aftercare. The presentation provided ample time for questions/answers. I am well-aware of all expectations at all times from start to post op. It is likewise today! A well-organized office is an asset for the total care of patients. I have witnessed the respect between Dr. Goyal and individual Staff Members. This all extends from Dr. Goyal's dedicated commitment to his profession, patient concern and warm personality. I am "highly pleased" with all services received. There is not "one negative statement" in reference to care provided by Dr. Goyal. These are my true feelings concerning Dr. Goyal. I have great confidence in Dr. Goyal's expertise. He has shown patience before and after surgery. I feel a person can be the "best" when he has sincere respect.... for himself, profession and mankind. Overall, Dr. Goyal is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to loved ones and friends.

Not sure why anyone would give this doctor a bad review. Highly approachable and understanding.

Had a great experience with Dr. Goyal.Very little pain after surgery. The doctor is very direct,understanding and selective about the right candidate for procedures. Some parts of the process can be overwhelming but if you break that down it's related to insurance and the challenges of documentation. In my case I was proactive and was able to work with the office and get everything done quickly. 37 days from Start to Finish.

atmosphere and level of care including follow up truly went down hill; insurance intake staff began to take over the role as doctor; she began making recommendations over the phone and determined if you could or should be allowed to directly contact the doctor with issues or concerns. Once the surgeon began partnering with other physicians, you were simply passed on or left to seek treatment / follow up elsewhere. This was all disturbing since Dr. Goyal presented well originally and appeared to be vested in his patients over all medical health and stated that he stood by his practice and was committed to his patients success in terms of weight loss and lifestyle change.
