Dr. Ala Fawaz Sahawneh, MD

Very bad experience, I am deciding not to write about it very personal. Avoid at all cost.

Had a horrible experience this morning with taking my dad for his appointment to see Dr.Ala. My dad is disabled and it takes a lot to get my dad up and ready and to the doctor. So this morning I had his home help come over an hour earlier, I took time off of work, and we woke him up early. We did everything we needed to, except due to him taking a bit longer to eat his breakfast and morning traffic we got to the doctor’s office 5 mins over the 10mins that they typically allow. There were only two people in the waiting room, they said the doctor just called literally a minute before we got in the office and said that reschedule anyone that comes in over 10mins late. I pleaded and explain the situation, begged they to please explain and aske the doctor to make an exception, since it was only 5mins pass there cut off and it took a lot for us to get my dad to the office and it was just a lot of fatigue on his body. The nurse said that she will ask the doctor, and then came back out… and said that he said we needed to reschedule and he would not make an exception. I understand that it was our fault, but I am sure the doctor has been late to a restaurant appointment before and they never turned them away. I have, when we are about to go, my baby acted up or had a dirty diaper that we needed to take care of, things happen and not by choice, but to go through so much with my dad and the doctor refused to see him because of 5mins is a bit harsh.

Dr. Sahaweh is a wonderful Doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and is very dedicated to his patients. His bedside manner is excellent. He had treated my Father for several years and always provided the best care and referrals to excellent specialists when needed. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
