Dr. Alain Alvarez, MD

Terrible clinic. I typically don’t write reviews but if you are in need of a rheumatologist office who listens or returns calls, this isn’t the one! I was a new patient, seen weeks ago and was put on a new medication after being recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.... Leslie the MA didn’t listen to any of my concerns I had, when I repeatedly called telling her I could get my RX filled quicker at a different location. It’s been over three weeks, I was seen by a new doctor, who called in my RX at the clinic I told Leslie to, and had it filled in 2 days! What a waste of time! I also noticed they put i am a smoker on my history which I never smoked, no one will return my call to update my chart. Horrible clinic. I’m married to a physician and very upset with how this office treated me.... I do not recommend!

The office is the worst run place i ever seen, trying to get threw to make a office visit is almost impossible, people are very rude, Dr. alvarez treats you like your stupid, no bed side matter

Trying to get in the office by phone is in possible, His nurse (Carmen) does not call you back she is the worse, when trying to get help. this is the worse office I ever experience in my entire life.

Dr Alvarez I found to be an excellent physician however the administrative staff is so disorganized starting with the answering service. In the past it was awful but today they put me on hold and after 21 minutes I used my other phone to call to get through. The inconvenience caused by trying to get a message to the Dr is terrible and I cancelled any future dealings with this office.

Dr Alvarez is very kind , caring and knows his area of expertise. He doesn't have an attitude like many doctors these days. I never feel rushed and his nurse is a sweetheart

Dr. Alvarez (and his nurse Sheila, especially) have been nothing but fantastic in helping me manage my Psoriatic Arthritis.When I first saw Dr. Alvarez, I had been previously misdiagnosed and was frustrated after many months of pain, fatigue, and issues with mobility (even though I am only in my late 30s). Dr. Alvarez took my concerns seriously, ordered appropriate tests right away, and was able to diagnose me and put me on the right path.Some other great things about Dr. Alvarez: I never have problems getting appointments. Any time I call with questions or concerns, I always receive a call back, usually within a few hours. My nurse, Sheila, is extremely caring and takes time to answer all of my questions on every phone call. It has given me substantial piece of mind.While Dr. Alvarez leans toward traditional treatment of PsA (i.e. medication) vs. the natural approaches I prefer, he has always respected what I am comfortable with and has never "pushed" me, as some doctors might.I feel… very lucky to have found Dr. Alvarez and highly recommend him.
