Dr. Alec Stephen Goldenberg, MD

I was referred by my PCP for minor blood disorder. Although this is in no way as serious a problem that others with blood disorders face, it is still scary when it's your turn to be a chronic patient. Dr. Goldenberg is not only patient, great bedside manner, but explains everything in English. This review is not only about how great Dr. Goldenberg is, it is mostly about the nursing staff and the office administrators that work in the lab. The nursing team is a small but mighty group. They make each patient feel like they are the only ones being seen at any given time. Many patients seen experience much more complicated treatments that can last for hours, but you never see them break a sweat! They treat each patient as if it's their first time. They get to you know your personally, and are able to know what veins are going to work on the first stick every time! The admin team are wizards at getting insurance info and paperwork processed with ease. This is a very special… group of people that work together in a seamless way that actually care about patient care... how rare!

Dr Goldenberg is compassionate and knowledgeable, as is his staff. Dr G saved my life. Top doctor.

Dr was 45 minutes late in seeing me, then wanted me to get CTScan, took two weeks for staff to submit to insurance who denied because Dr didn't include reason, office promised to re-submit, never did, been requesting my medical records be sent to new doctor but his office refuses to send. What a horrible patient experience, by far the worst experience with a doctor in my life.

This doctor is an angel. He has patience, compassion, and a great bed side manner. He always came to visit his patients as we were receiving treatments, and truly cares about us, his patients. I give him 10 stars. **********

Dr Alex Goldenberg is by far the most compassionate I have dealt with. Been with him for over 5 years & continues to treat me no matter how difficult my case becomes. Knows me so well he barely needs to look at my file. His office staff & nurses give the same type of care. Always returns my calls which is rare especially in NYC. I am so fortunate to have him as my doctor.

I'd like to comment to the obviously politically incorrect and ignorant person that used the expression, "Spanish biller". If you're going to write about someone, at least take the time to learn their names. And by the way, the reason the staff is so fantastic is because of the office manager, not in spite of her. I have been a patient of Dr. Goldenberg's for close to 10 years and I've seen how hard she works.You should get your facts straight before you decide to publicly try to ruin someone's reputation.

I seen doctors for many years and none has i ever been happier with.

I am a patient of Dr. Goldenberg for about 5 years. Dr. Goldenberg is a brilliant man and has helped me deal with my cancer. His staff over the years has changed a lot which leads me to wonder the type of management the office is under. Recently, his two receptionists are fantastic. The two people who draw blood are very good. His spanish biller is very helpful and diligent. His two nurses are beyond words. My only worry is his office manager. I hear a lot of complaints especially from patients. She is very rude and unprofessional. Also, I have heard her speak to her staff in a very demeaning manner. I see why now, the staff changes periodically. I have to say, besides his office manager..The staff and Dr. Goldenberg are great. Maybe he should consider a change in management.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldenberg's for over 8 years. He is the most dedicated, caring, compassionate doctor that I have ever met.This is a man that gets up at 5:00 a.m. every morning to be at NYU be 6:00 to do rounds for his hospitalized patients. He then heads straight to his office and sees over 40 patients a day. I know from his staff that he is in the office working, everyday until after 7:00 p.m.Anyone that knows him, can see how much he cares about his patients and will never give up on them.
