Dr. Alok Jain, MD

This has been the worst medical experience of my life. As a father dealing with child loss, depression, etc. I wanted to get help. It started out great initially, but as time went on they pushed more and more prescriptions. I did not want all of the prescriptions. Upon telling and trying to get off of them, they cut me as a patient leaving me barely anytime to find another facility to pick up where they left off. All while having the SOL not our problem additude. You will never see the same provider twice, making it so no one has a clue what has been said or done in the past. Their billing is a whole separate issue. Payments aren't posted correctly, billing to your insurance is a wreck, leaving you to pick up and keep paying paying or they won't see see you. It all boils down to medicine pushing, and sly billing slips. They are only here for profit, and if you do your homework you will see I am not the only one with this small story to tell.

I wish I could give Dr. Jain a negative rating. I've got lots of health conditions, so I've got a lot of doctors and specialists and he is absolutely the rudest, most patronizing, and inept provider I have ever worked with. I moved from a big city in Texas, where my neurologist had me on a clinical study testing the affects of cannabis on epilepsy. My seizures were finally under control and I was living a managable life, thanks to the medical cannabis I had been taking, as perscribed by my doctor. First, I told Dr. Jain the plan of care my team of FIVE doctors had been heading. He lost his cool and told me that was HIS job, not mine. As a physician, don't lose it on a patient. He then told me that me previous doctors were wrong. That there are no medical studies backing the use of cannabis in mitigating seizure activity, that. I was going to become schizophrenic, that I needed to go to rehab, and that I could decide between. having uncontrollable seizures, or be prescribed the… anxiety and sleep medications I had been taking for 3 years prior. He took me off of klonopin cold turkey because I didn't pass his drug test for THC because, like I said, I had been on a clinical study at a previous hospital. I was neglected care because of it. He is a joke, and his medical license should be revoked.

I was having difficulty getting his office to call a prescription in to my pharmacist and because my frustration was evident, his staff got angry with me and I was dropped from care right there on the spot. I was out of medicine and I received no referral to another doctor. I suffer from depression and have at least one completed suicide in my immediate family. I am now left to suffer the effects of abrupt discontinuation of my medicine while seeking another provider. DO NOT take Dr. Jain on as your provider. By the way, I never so much as raised my voice or said anything hostile. I was only visibly frustrated in my face and tone of voice. That's all it took for him to leave me twisting in the wind.

This is the worse experience with a health care provider I have ever had. He was an hour and 45 minutes late with no apology then never looked me in the eye, only read back the pre-screening paperwork I submitted and wrote a handful of prescriptions. When I had a problem with the prescription, an adverse reaction, I was told to keep taking it anyway. The billing system is so messed up they won't even provide a statement showing the exact amount you're billed for--the numbers don't add up and after repeated calls and messages, even going by the office, don't answer anything. I wouldn't go back in this office if you paid me to.

Worst “Dr” I have ever encountered. No social or communication skills and doesn’t care..what a poor excuse for a professional provider. Little eye contact, arrogant, ripped jeans, and tennis shoes? No introduction or greeting..just a “take a seat.” I felt like we were on candid camera this guy was so inappropriate. These type of “Drs” have no business practicing let alone dealing with kids. I wouldn’t let this guy give my dog advice.

I was sent an email 22 hours before my appointment, I didnt see this email until 4 hours before my appointment. I was supposed to print it and fill it out and have it with me, I dont have a printer. I show up early, thinking I could fill it out there. The owners wife tells me I have to reschedule because I dont have my paperwork printed and filled out. I explain to her what happened and her response is "we have a cancellation next week". For someone in need on service mental help this is a bunch of bull s%$t.

Their office is the worst. I would not recommend my enemy to go here.

I wouldn't suggest this provider. I never knew if I was going to see the doctor or nurse practitioner till I was called back from the waiting room. At one point an entire treatment program that the nurse practitioner had me on, which included changing almost all of my medications I had been on long term, was stopped when the doctor discovered the change in treatment. After that I lost all faith in the provider's ability for cohesive care while seeing both the doctor and nurse practitioner.

Dr. Jain only cares about making money and seeing as many patients as possible. In the waiting room I found out I had an appointment at the same time as 2 other people. How is that even possible? Don’t they care enough to give me my own appointment time? Once I was in the room, Dr Jain rushed in and out and didn’t even bother to listen to me. He just wrote meds based off the results of an expensive gene test although I told him the meds they recommended did not work for me in the past. I ended up crying everyday for over a month (over nothing!) until I went back to my old meds. I was super depressed. Do not see him or his nurse. Run the other way.

Jain likes to sneak up on people and ask repeatedly, "Do you hear voices?" I wouldn't let him near my dog. Don't let him near any of your loved ones! He'll do his darndest to convince you that you need to go into a Psychiatric Hospital.
