She didn't want to listen and rushed throughout the appointment, which only lasted about 5 minutes. Told me I shouldn't be feeling any pain, and insinuated I had mental issues. She assumed I came in to ask for a surgery, when I just wanted my issue to be assessed. She was very harsh and didn't explain anything properly or thoroughly. She wasted my time and money. Wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

Appeared to be a competent surgeon, but made promises that I would be up and about in about 2 weeks. Over 2 years later, I am still having pain and developed additional abscess after the one I had just after the surgery. Treating this abscess required a second surgery. Her bedside manner needs improvement.

My 5-star rating of Dr. Fajardo has nothing to do with the results of my surgery, although I could not have had a better outcome. My ratings is about what I think is the most important aspect of pre-op. A patient must have confidence about the competence and compassion of the doctor. The Cancer diagnosis is very stressful and the tension I felt before the consult was palpable. Dr Fajardo was frank and realistic in her explanation of process. She did not talk down to me and made several checks on my understanding throughout the discussion. My stress level was reduced to levels that surprised me, simply because of her explanations. She did not minimize the dangers but she made it clear that those dangers did not intimidate her. I entered the OR supremely confident that I was in good hands.
