My visit was excellent. He was kind and knowledgeable.

Dr. Arthur may be the greatest surgeon when things go well, but if you want answers or even a little compassion when things don’t go well, look elsewhere, Dr. Arthur is not your guy. He becomes very dismissive and almost irritated when asked questions or pushed a little bit for clarity. Maybe he has operated on thousands of knees but I only have one set of knees and like to understand what is happening with them. I am relatively young and this was my first issue with my knees or having surgery of any kind. My microfracture surgery was supposed to be very minor and I was supposed to be “good as new within a few months”. It was a total failure and several months later as I struggled to walk due to continued pain Dr. Arthur had me do another MRI. There was no additional damage yet somehow my prognosis went from “total recovery” before the surgery to “I have a bad knee and I am a candidate for knee replacement in the near future” after the surgery. When I asked what changed or why… his outlook changed regarding my knee he became agitated and basically went to “yes” or “no” answers. I had to try and pry any information I could out of him as to why my prognosis changed so drastically. Heaven forbid you ask the same question twice or try and rephrase it (because he avoided answering it the first time). He always seemed hurried and like I was an inconvenience to his day. My final consult ended without any recommendations from him or guidance on what to do next. In fact, he didn’t even say goodbye, he just got up and left the room. In my survey with TCO I mentioned the issues and marked the box that I wanted a callback – that of course never came either. I have since moved on from Dr Arthur and if a friend asked me about him I would recommend they do the same.

Rebuilt me knee, helped me regain my mobility, and gave me results I never dreamed possible.

My 15 year old son had Dr.Arthur repair his ACL. Dr.Arthur and his team of nurses were so genuinely kind and professional.
