Dr. Andrew Michael Benton, MD

Dr Benton is very punctual and visits in his office never take long. However, I wish he would review my file before entering the room. I have been to see him at least 3 times and he has to ask me each time why I am there. The last visit he tried to prescribe me medicine that he had previously given me that did not work. There is no patient doctor relationship and each visit feels like my first time seeing him. He has a great nurse, I just wish he would familiarize himself with his patients a bit more than he does.

I called several times trying to get in to see Dr. Benton since I am having issues controlling my asthma. I was told I already had an appointment scheduled 4 months from now. I reminded them that was for my annual physical. I'm having issues now that are interfering with my job. The receptionist said she could get me in 3 months and if that would work she referred me to urgent care. I told her I've already been and they refer me back to my primary doctor for long term maintenance medications they won't do that. I was told again they could get me in 3 months from now. I told her I saw that the doctor was accepting new patients she said yes. I asked why if he has no time to see his patients now. She said to try a different office they have a nurse practitioner that might be able to see me. Needless to say I have cancelled my annual physical and am looking for a new doctor now.
