Brilliant but very rude!!!??

He may be a good doctor to some but for others like myself who catch him on a bad day, we suffer from his personality disorder. Rude, condescending and made me feel very uncomfortable

I just wanted to start the new year by saying how grateful I am for your attentive care. Thank you for reassurance and help with the clarification and understanding of my rare disease.

I was referred to Dr. Laster by my Physician who highly recommended him. I was experiencing very bad pain in my shoulder and Dr. Laster took the time to ask me questions and get a thorough medical history. Dr. Laster injected my shoulder and I was surprised that it was not painful because in the past I found cortisone injections to be painful. He took the time to determine the correct medication for me and after a week my shoulder was pain free. I would recommend him as a Rheumatologist. The office staff and his nurse were also very professional and friendly.

Dr. Laster was unprofessional and disrespectful at my most recent appointment. I was berated because I mentioned that I was not pleased having to wait :35 minutes for him. He called me "selfish and cocky" and immediately told me that I would need to find another provider outside of his practice because "no one here would want to see a patient like you". I was a bit taken aback since I simply reminded him that this was the 2nd time he took more than 30 minutes to see me. I don't think it's unreasonable for a medical provider to respect my time by letting me know that he was held up with another patient. Apparently he doesn't think I deserve the same respect given to him.

Constantly changing appointments for all my family members with auto-immune diseases and unable to get follow up appointments in requested time

Dr. Laster was probably the best doctor I have ever seen. He took his time, asked several questions, read my records, answered my questions and understood the scope of my problems. He listened and seemed to truly care. He took my records and organized them into pertinent and less important for me and helped me understand previous tests. I feel blessed to have found him.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Moved to US in 2007 and could not find a good doctor here. The one I found was horrible! Second one was the same disaster. I had to get a flight to Brazil because I was almost in a wheal chair. My doctor in Brazil in contact with another Rheumato friend in the Mayo Clinic, MN, recommended me Dr. Laster, who I can call THE BEST doctor! He is calm, patient, knowledgeable and very confident. When I get there desperate, I leave the office smiling and with lots of hope Iâ??ll get better. He said something one day I never forget. I was upset because I love sports and I could not do everything I want to and start to vomit my frustration and he said: why are you worry? Iâ??m the one to be worry, relax! Thatâ??s what youâ??re paying me for. Immediately I felt better. As a nurse I use to disagree with doctors many times but I trusted him and put my case on his hands. Fare enough, Iâ??m in remission now, thanks God and My favorite DOC ever! He does not think he is… â??Godâ?? (like the majority of American doctors) he is not arrogant, he does not walk away before we finish and he is on time most of the times. Itâ??s been more then four years, and I have nothing negative to talk about him. I wish all the others doctors could give me the piece of mind Dr. Laster gives to me.

The firswt appointment Dr. Laster took alot of time to get a history of problems and symptoms and a physical exam. He found my problem as bursitis and gave a cortizone shots and gave me two medicines to help with inflamation and pain. Within days I was walking without a walker or cane and not in pain.
