I was not an easy case. Lots of prior surgeries and scar tissue. He was so excited to fix me... and he did an AMAZING job. SUPER easy surgery, he has a great staff around him and I felt loved even during this pandemic! His nurse texted me daily for support, he reached out to make sure I was good. He gave me my life back and made the entire experience WELL WORTH IT! Please see him before you consider anyone else. He is simply the best there is.

When I had hip replacement surgery, I knew my knee was next. When I asked the nurses in the Joint Replacement Unit at LBMMC who they would recommend, each one said Dr. Andrew Wassef. I'm glad I took their advice. I am 7 months post-op and extremely happy with my knee replacement. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and kind. I would recommend him without a second thought.

I was referred to Dr. Andrew Wassef for treatment of osteoarthritis in my knee by another Dr. I hold in high regard. On my initial visit my knees were X-rayed. Dr. Wassef discussed the X-rays with me and asked me very good and pertinent questions about my condition and my goals. One thing (of many) that stuck with me is when Dr. Wassef told me he is treating me not my X-rays. Dr. Wassef answered all my question thoroughly and at the end of the visit I received a cortisone shot in my right knee and I was told that I had OA in both knees. The right knee was the worst and was now deformed from the OA. At no time was I pressured to have surgery instead I was encouraged to take the information I was given and discuss the goals/options available with my family to determine the way forward. It was obvious to me after a few days that without one knee transplant being done soon I was at risk of not being able to walk or perform normal activities. I called Dr. Wassef to discuss my conclusions… with him and he was in agreement. I requested he schedule my surgery as soon as possible. It is now 3 months post surgery. I can walk, climb stairs, cycle, drive exercise and many other things to include golfing soon. I feel a stability in my knee/leg that I have not felt in a long time. I am pain free for the first time in a very long time. I am excited to now be in a normal existence for a man my age (70). My quality of life has been greatly improved. Dr. Wassef is an amazing surgeon and I could not be more pleased with him and the outcome of this surgery. No question went unanswered and Dr. Wassef and his medical staff were amazing throughout the process and remain so. I have finished my physical therapy and the question I am asked the most is if I had it to do over again would I still have the total right knee replacement surgery? My answer is that as long it was performed by Dr. Wassef I would do it again. In fact sometime in the future I will have my left knee done. This has been life changing, no doubt. The best orthopedist I have ever treated with. He gave me my life back. Well it will be once I finish healing. He did what was supposed to be a total knee replacement, but when he went in it was so much more. He didn't quit but fixed me up and for the first time in 20yrs I am almost limp free and can bend my knee. I am excited about the results and know that it will only get better as I continue to heal. I would recommend to anyone.

I love this man.....he is a wonderful Doctor and great surgeon. He takes the time to visit and explain everything. He is young and up to date on what is new. He loves his job and cares for each of his patients..... I recommend him fully.....

I went in to see Dr. Wassef for an ankle injury last month in Lakewood location. It was a great experience from the front desk to completion of the visit. Dr. Wassef was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions. It was clear that he was very knowledgeable about this type of injury and I highly recommend him.

This man has gifted hands. From a fused hip to a leg that now kicks with force and jumps for joy, ankylosing spondylitis was no challenge to the work this man did. God bless

The THR he performed on me was, and is life changing!! This man is a blessing to me, medical science and mankind in general. Everytime I go to physical therapy they rave about him in the highest regard because they've seen many of his patients, all doing well with small incisions and quick recoveries. If you follow his instructions you can't go wrong. Do you have serious joint issues?? You'd be a fool to let Dr. Andrew slip through your fingers. The hospital for his office is Lakewood Regional, they are fabulous!! The surgical team, nursing staff and nutrition team are all incredible! I really felt that everyone at this hospital truely cared about my health and well being.
