Dr. Andrzej Robert Zajac, DO

Great doctor, great facility, I am a return patient.

Dr Zajac sent my son home with a 786 blood sugar level!! I took my son in to see him after losing 50 pounds in three months and after Dr Zajac did a urine test, that showed sugar, never took his blood sugar. He advised us to see a endocrinologist, the next day I called and was told it was a two month wait!!! Thank God after me pleading, not Dr Zajac, to get him in they found a cancellation that day and got him in, sending him straight to the hospital with a critical blood sugar level. Also, two weeks prior to this my older son had to have emergency appendectomy surgery that Dr Zacjac also missed. He told him that he should see a Gasteroligist. The doctor that he recommeded thought it might be IBS, never did one test!! A prompt care doctor found this, thank God! I would never go back to Dr Zajac and would never recommend him to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zajac for at least 10 years now. I had been contemplating changing doctors for a while, but after today, I did! I went in for a physical and some other issues I'd been having. He was his polite self as usual but when I began to explain to him my concerns and how my issues were effecting my job so much so that my boss gave me FMLA paperwork so I wouldn't blemish my attendance due to my condition. He basically told me it wasn't necessary and that it would just result in more paperwork and visits! I couldn't believe it. I'm now with a Beaumont doctor, good riddance. For those that think he's got good bedside manner, you must not know what bedside manner is.

Dr. Zajac is a great Doctor. always attentive and takes his time to figure out whats really wrong w/ you.

I have not been to Dr. Zajac in a few years but I have been a patient of his since I was maybe 9-10 years old, I am now 29. Every time I see him he remembers me and has the most pleasant bedside manner! I work for a doctor myself and while looking at reviews you sometimes only see negative ones, so I decided I need to rate my OWN doctor. I have seen Dr. Zajac even when I lived 45 miles away and when I didn't have insurance. When you have a good doctor, you don't let that go!

I don't know what the other reviewers on here went through, but I have been seeing Dr. Zajac as my primary care for a few years now. Every complaint or issue I had he has listened carefully and has offered multiple suggestions or ways to fix the problem. Not just medication medication medication (but he has no problem giving out medication if its needed/warranted). I will continue to go to him as long as he is available. His bedside manner is wonderful and he really pays attention to what you are saying.

It was quite awhile ago that we went to see Dr. Zajac. He was great with my young son and listening to his complaints or issues but poor with addressing any of my issues. I ended up just going to the doctors that specialized in each of the concerns to get them fixed. He continually minimized any of my health concerns as if I were making them up or if they weren't important. My younger brothers went there as well. They had the same concerns. There was not much exploration into health complaints.

This doctor confuses me. He's a good doctor but his bedside manner is crap for the most part.. but then sometimes he's ok. Most of the time, like the other reviewer said, he just wants to rush out of there to chat with his staff. I was diagnosed with having high blood pressure due to stress and I'm 24. He's said some things that were very upsetting that I don't want to disclose on here but it was to the point where I had to call my mother yelling in the office. When my refills are done, I'm going to find another Primary because even though I saw him again because he is a "good" doctor, his manner will never change. And the staff when you check out? What a joke. They need some new people in there those dinosaurs don't know what they're doing.

since McLaren group forced Dr Ali to change his availability at the Garfied office, am only able to make appt on Mon or Thurs. Test results are hard to obtain. Office staff still friendly but office not run as smoothly or efficently as before. I hate change that takes away my Dr's ability to treat pt's effeciently or promptly. Not Dr's fault. It's the fault of the powers that be.
