Dr. Angelo William Kanellos, MD

I was recently diagnosed with early stage Prostate cancer. I am mid 50's and prostate issues run in my family. After being referred to Dr Kanellos he took all the time needed to consult and discuss all the options available and we agreed the best course of action was the Radical Prostatectomy. I had the surgery in Feb 2021 and everything was successful. I was up and about the next day and after a week was able to live a normal life with no side effects whatsoever. Pain was minimal and all I had was tylenol after the first day. He took extra time to spare all the nerves and limit any possible side effects and was successful. He checked in on me the next day before being released from the hospital and a follow up a week ago and has a very reassuring and calm bedside manner. He is a very skilled surgeon and does this surgery numerous times each week. I have the highest regard for his skills and communication and highly recommend him if you have to make the decision to do this… surgery.

Dr. Kanellos has been my Urologist for the past year. I recently had the robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. The surgery was successful and Dr. Kanellos did an incredible job!! He was able to remove my cancerous prostate without impacting the surrounding areas, including my nerves. I have had a full recovery in 5 weeks and can resume ALL activities. Thank you Dr. Kanellos for all that you have done for me. You are the best!!

I had a Davinci Robotic prostatectomy performed by Dr. Kanellos on Feb. 11, 2019. My wife and I conferred with Dr. Kanellos prior to my surgery and he explained all of the options available to me concerning my advanced prostate cancer. He answered all of my questions and concerns. Dr. Kanellos felt that in my case, the robotic prostatectomy was the best course of action. The surgery was performed and Dr. Kanellos was in early the next day to check on me and to inform me what to expect over the next week. Within a couple of days I was up and about. I returned to work after two weeks and have had no problems or side effects associated with the surgery. In my opinion, Dr. Kanellos has a great bedside manner and is genuinely concerned about the patients in his care. I would highly recommend this doctor for any urology concerns. The staff at his Double R office are excellent-they are very efficient and friendly.

Dr, Kanellos is by far the best doctor surgeon that I have ever met. After meeting with him after my diagnosis of prostate cancer he completely explained all my treatment options, he is very knowledgeable in all aspects of treatments with each option he explained the possible outcomes and side effects that could possibly happen, after much debate with my wife we decided on the Robotic Prostatectomy,and I am glad that we did, Since my procedure in Jan 2019 I have had zero side effects, I was up and about within a few days. I highly recommend Dr. Kanellos. PS The day before my surgery Dr Kanellos personally called me to see if I had any questions, How many other doctors have personally called you the day prior to surgery ?

Dr Kanellos was outstanding in his willingness to do whatever he could to help me through the decision making process when trying to decide what therapy was best for me. He answered a myriad of questions with thoughtfulness and care for a stressful situation. The surgery went very well with minimal side effects and downtime. And now my PSA is <.01. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr Kanellos!

Lack of diagnosis, lack of compassion, lack of any information about my problem, lack of possible options leading to UTI with 2 days in the hospital, leading to bleeding incident with all night in the ER. I left his practice.

He did a routine procedure on my family member; He might be an experienced doctor; but failed to even say hi to patient's family member; poor bedside manner; cold and not caring. That trait should not come with a medical degree!

I Had a Robotic prostatectomy performed by Dr. Kanellos. If I had to do over I would change nothing. No problems at all after the surgery.
