Dr. Anil K. Lalwani

Misdiagnosed, was told all other physicians I went to were wrong. He provided no advised treatment to his believed diagnosis...which was wrong, as confirmed by 3 other physicians. On top of that, not only was he rude and condescending, he was flat out mean. I felt like I was being bullied. Left the appointment crying.

I had high expectations after reading about his experience and expertise. I waited 14 weeks for an appointment. I called after 8 weeks to see if there were any cancellations. The office staff is absolutely the worst. The hold is outrageous. After holding on for 43 minutes, I was disconnected. My first appointment was behind one hour. When I finally was called in, he had a student in the room which disappointed me as it was a distraction and he spoke with him more than me. He seems to not have an interest in what I had to say. All he and his staff is interested in is selling cochlea implants. I feel he didn’t address my concerns and any other alternatives for my problem, plus felt rushed during the visit. He even pushed his implants on me in the hallway instead of writing the prescription that he was supposed to give me. I then called his assistant and asked for the doctor to send the prescription to my pharmacy and he never did. Like a jerk, I gave him another chance and this time… waited even longer. he was two hours and 20 minutes behind. There were many patients in the waiting area complaining. Maybe he thinks that he’s worth the wait, but I don’t. Very dissatisfied. For this reason I won’t be using Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the future and hope the chief of Columbia presbyterian gets the message.

He is rude and doesn't listen to his patients. This results in irresponsible treatment decisions. He makes a decision and saves time by not discussing options with his patients. Patronizing bedside manner and doesn't care about the patient's time (makes you wait 60 min+)

Dr Lalwani has seen 4 of our children. He's always accessible and willing tonwork with us on scheduling. But his best quality is is bedside manner. He shows every patient love and care and entertain the kids while calming the parents. We completely recommend him.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lalwani and his staff. My son's appointment was scheduled quickly, the staff was courteous and attentive and the appointment wait time was very brief. Most importantly, however, was our experience with Dr. Lalwani. He spent a lot of time with us and asked to ensure all of our questions were answered. He was informative, gentle, kind and funny. It was a thoroughly positive experience. I would recommend him highly.

Dr Lalwani is by far one of the most outstanding doctors I have ever seen. He is skilled and nothing short of an expert in his field. He took the time to listen to everything I had to say and how I was feeling regarding all that was going on symptom wise, did a thorough evaluation and was able to diagnose me. He spent a tremendous amount of time with me on every visit and thoroughly went through all of my test results. Dr Lalwani is caring, compassionate, and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is in need of an Otolaryngologist. He has a way of putting his patients at ease and really cares about his patients and about what he does. He also works with an excellent staff and everyone goes the extra mile to make patients feel comfortable!!

Dr. Lalwani treated my son and I must say he is the most professional, caring doctor I have ever met. He is experienced and named top doctor for a reason. I would definitely recommend him.
