Dr. Ann Marie Zimmermann, MD

Dr. Zimmerman doesn’t take her time, isn’t thorough, but perhaps the worst thing about her is she doesn’t seem to realize she has a duty by law to disclose any risks and side effects associated with a medication so that her patient can make an informed decision as to whether to take it. She told me the depo Provera shot would be so great, only a little spotting here and there. Turns out after researching, the common side effects are severe mood disregulation, severe bleeding, gastric upset, bloating, nausea I, etc etc. I went to doctor Zimmerman with help with a difficult monthly cycle: in the end she injected me with a medication I was never fully informed of and I’ve now had my period for three months straight. I wish I never went to her. I have no idea when I will ever stop bleeding. Any requests for assistance or guidance from her has gone ignored. You leave messages with the secretary and dr Zimmerman never calls back. With doctors like this who needs doctors.

Dr.Z is one of the best physicians in our area. She listens, includes my self-observations in diagnosing and treating me. When I noted that my digestive system issues would mask any early evidence of ovarian cancer, she took my concern to heart and ordered a scan. The results were that I did have a benign ovarian cyst. After recommended protocols to rule out cancer the cyst was monitored over time. A year later more cysts developed so I was referred to a specialist and surgery removed any future threat of cancer or painful cyst growth. Dr. Z's focus on wellness extends into the community in general and she is actively engaged in Cattaraugus County efforts to build a healthy living environment.

This doctor is the worst I have seen. She makes decisions based on her personal opinions not on medical science . She is rude and ignorant . She has degraded me . My life and overall health has fallen to a unbelievable low point . She is not willing to help in anyway . She ignores reports from other doctors who in general all say the same thing about my health . She tends to look down her nose at her patients . I know several people who have seen her and all have the same experience.
